Identity Map
My identity is when I really begin getting into the media. This was the first project in 10th grade that I pulled previous knowledge from 9th grade. In the 9th grade making the relationship in my art was always a struggle and for the first time I succeeded and improving on something that I struggled with in 9th grade media

Tangent Functions Packet
My tangent function packet show my progression and understanding of converting degrees to radians. I chose this work because I proved to myself that when I pay attention and really dive into my work that I can produce great work. Also the unit of converting degrees to radians or radians to degrees was really stressful and I proved that I can work under stressful conditions.

Video Montage
My video montage wasn't to my liking but during this project in media I was having a hard time using iMovie because the software was so new. I would stay up from lunch and after school to work on the video. Even though being very stressed this video reiterates to me that I can push myself as far as I want in order to get the job done.

End of the Year Reflection
Since the 9th grade I’ve have grown in many ways, I have take more interest in the appearance of my work and the quality of my work. My portfolio from 9th to 10th grade has definitely shown my growth as a student at Frank McCourt High School.

My identity map shows growth because it shows how strong my concept is, compared to my previous works in the 9th grade you can see there is a clear message what I’m trying to portray. Also in this work I’ve learned to incorporate different ideas and not just give up so fast. Lastly in the 9th grade I never gave my all in my work but I realized that when you don’t, it shows in what you are trying to produce. Honestly this is still something I struggle with, because not everything in classes grabs my attention, but I am still working on this as I go on in High school.

My work in media class has changed over the years a lot I think, because you can see in 9th grade me just settling for the bare minimum. Stopping at the bare minimum in 9th grade was good because I never thought I had any good ideas, but in the 10th grade I’ve noticed that I do I have goods ideas that need to be developed a little more. Since the start of 10th grade in my media I’ve learned to stick with my ideas and not give up so fast.

One thing i still need to work on is my perseverance in classes that may not be my strongest subject. I feel I need to work on this because I feel like it is shows a lot in the final product that I’m trying to produce. For example in Media class I’ve learned that this can come in handy in any situation because showing perseverance shows that I can accomplish anything. But at times the urge to quit overpowers my will to stay and complete the project. I’m still working on it everyday.

I’ve decided to showcase these pieces because I’ve put a lot of hard time and effort to make sure that I understood the work. One of the pieces is the tangent functions in my intergrated science math class. I chose to showcase this because I believe this was one of my strongest subjects in that class and I showed how I got my answer every step of the way. My last showcase piece is my video montage because it kind of represents who I am. My video montage is about Harlem and the great places within it.   I also chose this because I was pretty much left to do this by myself and I think that this project showed me that I do have perseverance.
